Childhood Lead Primary Prevention

Newburgh has one of the highest frequencies of lead burdened cases in New York State.  Last year the Orange County Health Commissioner designated census tracts 3, 4 and 5 in the city of Newburgh as areas of “high risk.”    The primary goal of Primary Prevention Program (PPP) involves identifying housing at greatest risk of lead-paint hazards.  This program is working towards developing partnerships and community engagement
